Hayle has three miles of golden sands that offer plenty of room for everyone. Families are able to find a sheltered spot and there are sand and rock pools for the children to delve into. The Atlantic swell makes it a popular destination with surfers, and when the surf is up it makes a great spectator sport too.

The RSPB’s Hayle Estuary is the most south westerly estuary in the UK and an ideal place to see large numbers of waders and passing migrants during the spring and autumn. The reserve is open at all times and as you walk around you may see oystercatchers, little egrets and curlews.

Hayle has plenty of fine restaurants, cafes and pubs that offer a wide range of snacks and meals. Stop for a break and enjoy some of Cornwall’s classic regional dishes.
